During this journey towards a more stylish wardrobe I became extremely fond of neutrals, muted looks, and monochromatic outfits. As I started picking out more garments with trendy details or interesting cuts, I realized that color is not the only tool that can make things interesting, although my background in painting was telling me otherwise. I started playing more with proportions, such as the ones in this combination, where the draped nature and size of the vest are balanced out by the tight shorts, the bare legs, and the heels. I also started accessorizing more not merely to complete a look, but to give it a personality as well.

These are definitely rewarding discoveries that have had a positive effect on my personal style. I am excited to see where they'll take me from here.
What are your tricks to make a look interesting?

Have a relaxing weekend, everyone.
