While blazers are a great basic piece in every adult woman’s
wardrobe, they can also add a touch of oomph to basic and not-so-basic outfits
alike. Choosing one in a great color or a cool print will not enrich your
wardrobe with something that you’ll wear with everything in your closet, for
years to come. But it can revamp a wardrobe full of basics, or it can add even
more interest to an already trendy set.
Many women reserve brights for spring and summer. Most of us
do become more attached to neutrals in colder months, rediscovering the beauty
of winter whites, and the elegance of an all-black outfit. Texture and shine
takes the leading role in most of our winter wardrobes. But what we often
forget is that color has the power to make any rainy, foggy, or snowy day a tad
happier. And for those of us who still feel reluctant to wear bright pink in
January, typical fall hues such as burgundy, mustard and pine green can be
great alternatives.

For the past few seasons prints have been all over the
runways, retail stores and streets, and they are still going strong. Floral,
Aztec, animal, mirror and photo prints are everywhere. This is great news for
those of us who are looking to update are dull wardrobe with interest pieces.
Finding the blazer with the right cut, fabric and print is no easy task, but it
is definitely worth it:

I hope I inspired you to try new colors and prints even
during the winter time. In my next few posts I would like to show you my
experimentation with my two favorite blazers.
Have a great evening.
